TICKETING POLICY TIFF 2011
The tickets for the 10th edition of Transilvania IFF will be on sale from May 30 2011 at FLORIN PIERSIC Cinema (Mihai Viteazul Square no. 11), ARTA Cinema (Universităţii street no. 3), VICTORIA Cinema (Eroilor Boulevard no. 51), Booha Bar (Piezişă street no. 19), Unirii Square, Odeon Cineplex (Polus Center) and TIFF Welcome Point (Unirii Square no. 10 – only for guest and accredited people), the Box Offices program:
Monday, May 30 – Thursday, June 2: 11:00 - 18:00
Friday, June 3 – Sunday, June 12: 09:00 – 23:00
Tickets price:
TICKETS BOUGHT IN ADVANCE(within one day before the screening)
- Normal Ticket (valid for only one screening): 8 lei
- Reduced Ticket, for students and retired persons: 6 lei (the ticket can be bought by showing a student ID or the OMNIPASS card or the pension coupon; the staff at the entrance will require the documents mentioned above)
TICKETS BOUGHT IN THE DAY OF THE SCREENING
- Normal single Ticket (valid for only one screening) for all types of audience: 10 lei.
SPECIAL REGIME TICKETS
- Student ticket: 5 lei (valid for the screenings from EDUCATIFF progamme)
- Ticket for Ursus Open Air screenings: 5 lei
- Ticket for “Odessa in flacari”: 5 lei* (Banffy Castle, Bontida, 07.06)
- Ticket for charity screening “In a better world”: 10 lei* (Casa de Cultura a Studenţilor, 06.06)
- Ticket for 3D screenings: 15 lei*
- Ticket for Opening Ceremony: 15 lei* (Unirii Square, 03.06)
- Ticket for Closing Ceremony: 25 lei* (National Theatre, 11.06)
- Ticket for Theatre shows: 15 lei*
- Ticket for Autobahn Show: 70 lei*
- Ticket for SoNoRo Concert: 15 lei* (Ethnographic Museum, 04.06)
- Ticket for Baba Zula and Nightlosers Concert: 15 lei* (Euphoria Music Hall, 05.06)
- Ticket for AlternaTIFF - Meeting Point Stage: 10 lei*
- Ticket for AlternaTIFF - Boiler Club: 20 lei*
The access for the Mănăştur Open Air screenings is free.
From all TIFF Box Offices you can buy tickets for all the screenings which will take place at FLORIN PIERSIC Cinema, ARTA Cinema, VICTORIA Cinema, URSUS OPEN AIR, Casa de Cultura a Studenţilor, Art Museum Gallery, French Cultural Centre, Marty Society and ODEON CINEPLEX(4 venues).
If it rains, the screening scheduled at 21.45 in URSUS OPEN AIR will take place at the Students Cultural House from 23.00. The tickets bought for URSUS OPEN AIR screening will still be valide.
For the free screenings it’s necessary for everyone to aquire a 0 value ticket. This tickets are available at any TIFF Box Office. The screenings from Mănăştur Open Air are excepted from this rule.
60 TIFF Cards, with the price of 200 lei, will be on sale starting May 30, 11:00 a clock. Those interested in acquiring the card should fill in the TIFFcard FORM and send it by e-mail with contact information and a picture at card@tiff.ro or come at the accreditation office, located at TIFF WELCOME POINT, Unirii Square no. 10, but only starting from May 30, 11:00 a clock!
The card guarantees access for 35 screenings, excepting the special events, marked with asterisk (*). The card owner will be able to acquire tickets for any screening in the festival programme from all TIFF Box Offices, if there are anymore seats available. He has access to a maximum of 6 screenings per day and cannot acquire 2 tickets for the same screening. TIFFcard does not guarantee access for the cocktails, theatre shows or concerts in the festival.
Tickets in advance and during the festival period will be sold as follows:
Tickets for any movie from any TIFF venue can be bought from any TIFF Box Office.
Tickets for the screenings scheduled at Casa de Cultura a Studenţilor, French Cultural Centre, MARTY Society, Unirii Square, TIFF LOUNGE or for any special events can be bought from the entrance of the above mentioned location, one hour before each screening.
5 minutes before every screening TIFF staff will allow access at the projection for all TIFF badges holders that did not get tickets for the screening, only if there are free seats available.
ATTENTION! The ticket holders who are arriving at the screening with in 5 minutes before the start of the screening will not have guaranteed seats.
TIFF reserves the right to retain a certain number of seats for guests up to 2 hours before the start of each screening. Afterwards allervations will be canceled and the remaining tickets will be available for selling.
The screening marked in TIFF Programme with Romanian Days or Special Screening are dedicated mainly to foreign and Romanian guests. TIFF will issue a limited number of tickets for these screenings. Two hours before the screening in the mentioned categories, all bookings made for the guests will be cancelled and the remaining tickets will be offered for sale to the general public.
