Tudor Giurgiu
Festival Director
Founder of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) and Director of the festival. President of the Romanian Film Promotion. Film director and producer of countless commercial spots and music videos, Tudor Giurgiu has worked with some of the biggest names in the music and advertising industries from Romania.
He is the director of Love Sick / Legături bolnăvicioase, a feature film presented at over 30 international film festivals, and Weddings, Music and Videotapes / Nunţi, muzici şi casete video, an original documentary film, a "behind-the-scenes" insight of the Romanian wedding industry.
The most recent films produced by Tudor Giurgiu are Katalin Varga (directed by Peter Strickland), Kino Caravan / Caravana Cinematografică (directed by Titus Muntean) and Somewhere in Palilula / Undeva la Palilula (directed by Silviu Purcărete) now in post-production.

Mihai Chirilov
Artistic Director
Artistic Director of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF), since its first edition in 2002.
Mihai Chirilov is a well-known film critic, he works as a curator for the Romanian Film Festival at Tribeca Cinemas, organized by The Romanian Cultural Institute in New York. He has contributed to several publications and has a monthly column in HBO magazine, he is a coauthor of the book Lars von Trier: The Films, the Women, the Ghosts, written with the film critic Alex Leo Şerban. He has translated in Romanian two novels by Chuck Palahniuk – Choke and Diary. He has served as jury member at several important international film festivals in Hong Kong, Berlin, Gothenburg, Chicago, San Francisco and Moscow.

Rik Vermeulen
Executive Director
Joining the TIFF team ever since the first edition of the festival, Rik Vermeulen has become its Executive Director in 2006.
He is programme advisor for the Rotterdam International Film Festival and main programmer of the Noordelijk Film Festival, one of the oldest and largest film events in the Netherlands. He has managed the CentEast Market of the Warsaw International Film Festival and worked for the CineLink co-production market at Sarajevo Film Festival. Rik Vermeulen is also a member of the feature film committee of the Dutch Film Fund.

Oana Giurgiu
Executive Director
From 2002 to 2006, Oana Giurgiu was the Guest Department manager of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF), having become its Executive Director in 2006.
She has extensive experience as a producer of films, television programmes, music videos and events. Her career as a film producer includes titles such as Katalin Varga (directed by Peter Strickland), Kino Caravan/ Caravana Cinematografică (directed by Titus Muntean) and Somewhere in Palilula / Undeva la Palilula (directed by Silviu Purcărete).
She is also the producer of The Gopo Awards, ever since the first edition of the event, in 2007.
