The New Year That Never Came

Screening also accessible for people with visual and hearing impairment through the programme Cinema without barriers, with the support of the Institut francais in Romania. 

On December 20th, 1989, Romania stands on the brink of revolution. As tensions reach a boiling point, six seemingly disconnected lives intersect in unexpected ways...

The screening will be made accessible through:

• Romanian descriptive subtitles
• Romanian Sign Language
   
• Romanian audio description: each visually impaired person must bring their own smartphone and personal headphones, and install the Movie Reading app on their mobile device in advance (available in the App Store and Google Play). In the app menu, viewers will first select the country (Romania), then the desired film (Anul Nou care n-a fost / The New Year That Never Was), which will then appear in the "My Movies" section.
