Drama Room

Transilvania International Film Festival (June 12 - 21, 2026) opens the submissions for Romanian series projects for Drama Room (DR) 2026. Drama Room is a program initiated by TIFF in 2021 dedicated to drama series development, aiming at building capacity locally and within the covered region. Romanian screenwriters and/or director-screenwriters who have a series or mini-series project in development are invited to submit their projects in the Drama Room program. Applications can be submitted online until April 27th, 2026, through the eventival.com platform.

The 6th edition is open to Romanian fiction series or mini-series projects, with stories represented by screenwriters and/or writer-directors, based on contemporary stories (set after the 1990s), who apply by April 27th, 2026, and whose applications meet the requirements of these rules. Projects will be selected by the organizers, along with industry experts, from the submitted applications.

The program will take place in Cluj-Napoca, as part of TIFF RO Days | Industry Events. The workshops are specifically tailored to help participants improve their pitching approach for the international market. Participants will also be invited to masterclasses and talks with top industry professionals.

The selected projects will take part in a pitching event, in front of a dedicated jury and other invited international guests.

The Best Series Award is offered by PRO TV & VOYO and consists of a 12 month exclusivity contract with PRO TV, worth 5000 EUR, for the entire project for developing the first episode of the series and series bible (characters, narrative arch, visual guide). The winning project will benefit from personalized mentorship assisted by the PROTV development team and internal Board pitching before the project's production.

The event will take place in Cluj-Napoca, on June 18 - 19, 2026. The complete Drama Room program will be announced to the selected participants at the beginning of June.
