Transilvania Talent Lab (TTL) is a program of the Transilvania International Film Festival (June 12-21, 2026), open to young people up to 35 years old - directors, screenwriters, or producers from Romania or the Republic of Moldova - graduates of a film-related faculty or with at least some relevant experience in the field.

Transilvania Talent Lab (TTL) is supported by Institut francais.

Applications are open until April 30th, 2026. The full program regulations can be found here.

Transilvania Talent Lab will take place from June 16-20, 2026. For five days, in Cluj-Napoca, 10 film enthusiasts will go through all the stages of making a film. They will attend special TIFF screenings, seminars, and masterclasses on directing, screenwriting, production, funding sources, marketing, streaming platforms, and festival strategies, and they’ll have the chance to discuss their projects with Romanian and international film industry professionals present at TIFF.

Transilvania Talent Lab is structured into three working modules, aimed at all participants regardless of their field of expertise:

Development (developing a film project)

Production (producing a film project)

Marketing/Distribution & Festivals

TTL was established 13 years ago with the goal of helping young filmmakers improve their skills, discover new talent, and develop projects at various stages of production. Among the already established directors who have taken part in the TTL program are Ruxandra Ghițescu, Monica Stan, Marius Olteanu, Andreea Borțun, and Cristina Groșan.
