
Manuel Pena
BioBorn in 1980, Manuel is the artistic director of the International Short Film Festival of Bueu, FICBUEU. In 2003 he graduated the Directing department of the International Film School of San Antonio de Los Baños (Cuba). Manuel has directed three short films and a documentary. He participated in nearly 200 international film festivals, in which he won fifteen awards, including one at our own TIFF. In 2004 Manuel co-founded the production company Hipotálamo Films, which he left in 2007 to found FICBUEU. In 2021, he started the production company Nortecatro Cinema, whose first work is Azul 91, Manuel's debut feature.
